Meet the Larian Team at FomCon this Saturday! And take your chance to win some of the cool prizes (e.g. a crate of dragon beer, anyone? wink )! We will be presenting Dragon Commander and for those who have questions about the game: ask the Larian Team! A lead designer, a designer, a programmer and a QA tester will be present.

See you there!

Well, your new logo is certainly... uhm... orange.

One bit of criticism I have is that the whimsical soft dart (I don't know what its called in English. Or Dutch for that matter) is yellow and, as such, blends pretty well with the scowling orange warrior. I think it's supposed to be a whimsical element introduced into an overly serious image to produce a humorous juxtaposition, but due to the blending colours that aspect of it doesn't really jump out at the onlooker right away. This lessens the effect of the image because the onlooker needs to figure out what's being presented here before the juxtaposition really dawns on them (in the same way that explaining a joke ruins it). I think the dart should be a bit more obviously different.

This is my uninformed opinion as someone who doesn't know anything about art (but knows what he likes).

It looks like a sink plunger on his head. I can't do any better but I think the logo does not really suit the type of games Larian makes. Does that sound silly? I can't really explain what I mean but the logo just looks um, in your face? What about something dragon-y?

It's not a plunger. It's one of those rubbery toy things children fire from toy guns.

And a serious warrior being hit by a children's toy dart thing is a reasonably appropriate symbol for Larian: somewhat serious fantasy mixed with humour. In that respect it works, I think.

When you look at it like that I suppose so, yes, you are right.

In my opinion, it represents Larian perfectly - at this event.

I like both logos, yes, my first post was a bit stupid. Both your logo's look cool I just thought you might have done something a bit dragon-y but as Wantonanubis & Alrik pointed out it suits the humour well. I presume you are doing an intro animation of your logo that plays when running your games - prehaps showing a child shooting said dart at the warrior?
