I could do a looser . Someone who has some kind of noob quest (DAMMIT! I lost my... dog in the forest, and I can't LIVE without him!), ahat grants experience in the beginning. And since we whant npc's with personality, I'm perfect! (They can't all sound like mighty warriors, can they?)

There is no "teenager" in the Larian games.

Hey both happyflower and I are 'teenagers'

I still want to get my name in Divine Divinity 2. I hope DD2 will be alot like DD, with the same land, and with forum members in the game!

I was joking about Alrik's answer when i gave the names of forum members for playing the voices (Alrik forgive me pleeeease !).
I think that great well known actors will not make a better job than unknown actors, professionnal or not professionnal, who really like the Larian games.

A great actor could be very good in one game and very bad in an other game.
It also happens in the movies. Great actors can also play badly a character in a movie.

i don't mean to sound harsh but if the sound director (or someone who's responsible to record the voice actors/actresses) doesn't know what kind of voice or emotion or volume he/she wants in the actor/actress, that person is equally to blame because he/she doesn't know what is required for the game. nice enough doesn't cut it.

scriptwriters are also very imnportant to write good dialogues & not something very boring & unimaginative. in BD, towards later acts, voices for NPcs improve though some need more work. what i hate, really hate is forced accent. if u don't sound irish, then don't try it. if u are french, speak in your own natural tone. that way the dialogues have more honest sound to it & this helps in making the characters more believable. after all, Divinity universe has no known nationality that has uniform accent.

I expect from DD2:
1.A user-friendly SDK-Modkit.
2.Custom Portraits supported.
3.Gamebyro & Speedtree supported.
4.Multiple endings.
5.Multiple ways to solves quests -- good, evil, neutral options.

I very muchly agree with MysterD.... those are all things i would NEED in the game.

And yea... that autorun.... something so small that can make such a HUGE difference.

Other than that....

1. A Copy protection that doesn NOT need constant internet connections (PLEASE PLEASE NEVER use STEAM). Rather make an activation required if all the copy protections go the internet rout (a fear in the back of my mind says that they will by the time DD2 gets released).

2. Please let my Hero SPEAK FOR him/Herself!!!! (I have nothing against the DK's voice... but i like to make my OWN comments)

3. With the character selection, can we have as a subchoice of male, female, child and warior, survivor, mage, the good, neutral, evil AND some Insanely Synical / sarcastic option (the mad evil scientist or something like that..... or the alchmist that tasted his own stuff just once too often)... And yea, i think this would be a major highlight being able to play the hilarious mad alchemist that has this corrupted view of life. I also think that something like this would really be a selling point....

4. hmmmmmm that packmule we mentioned in some previous post?!?!?!?!?!? that makes it so much easier for us kleptomaniacs

You know, persoanlly, I don't want it party. I liked in DD where I could move the mosue anywhere and just the hero would go, no thinkin' will it go here, or just the dk, or both, or will one of them start attacking tibar!

THanks for reminding me.....

5-99. NO ATTACKING NPC's (or neutrals) before CONFIRMATION

For that matter this one can be done in microsoft's idiotic way.... "Would you like to attack that tibar????" " Are you SURE you want to attack that tibar???? This would cause all tibar to become hostile..." " Are you SURE that you are SURE you want to attack that tibar that will cause all tibars to attack you????" "Are you SURE you thought about this long and hard, read the fineprint, consulted your legal advisor, your phycologist, your physiotherapist (in case your fingers will get sore from killing the tibars), AND you STILL want to kill this tibar???"

what i "wanted" to need:
- a list of set items, who give bonusses for partly/complete sets
- a control of the hero: you could move him/her/it with a game controller!
- a huge open world with no restrictions
- nice grafics (not realy on top of my list)
- a verry active game invirement. no static NPC's or animals. but a world that is moving along.
like a natural disasters, fire (help out the firemen), our a flood..maybe a mysterieus disease again? lot's of celebrations, like you are invited to a mariage, or a festivity.
-more beer games
lot's of quest, biggies with a red line into (rode draad)

Or lady, how about completelly dump that system? I mean, how the hell does a dog know that I had to kill a wolf since he attacked me on the other side of the world?

But those alternatives looks fun, so we could go with them too .

I agree with Tsel about the manual....

At the VERY LEAST include a full listing of what spells do what damage at what level... what can counter them, what level of resistance do you need to counter it.... etc... (SPells and skills in detail)

Also i assume there will be charms again (its kinda part of the divinity universe by now)... a full listing of what charms do what.... and exactly (in WYSIWYG format) how to charm an item.... i would also love to be able to take them out again..... (but thats my opinion - i didnt cry in DD, BD and nor will i in DD2 if i cant).

I think the manual should at least have those things covered in depth.... as well as special actions like setting a party member to agressive etc...

Lol MG, i AM allergic to microsoft's way of interrogation just for you to change something..... but if Larian insist on having neutrals go hostile on me, i would prefer some warning about it... even if they do it Microsoft style.

One thing I thought of is this: In the Divinity games you allways eventually pass the point when you don't really have to care for money. I think it would be much more challenging if tihs wasn't a fact. It's not really funny when you can buy whatever item you whant all the time. In contrast, random stock should be less random. If you find an item you whant and can't afford it, it shouldn't disapperar as soon as you leave the shop. Andthe random thing makes cheating too easy anywhay...

No no, all you need to do is collect loot and sell it, and you'll get lot's of money. This is what buggers me a little...
