Singo: Thats a brilliant idea!!!

In we had a conversation with a merchant about fashion.

So why not have a barber/stlyist??

You may want to change your appearance after choosing whatever from the main page!!!

You could change not your armour but your initial appearance and clothing.

Actually I wouldn't mind if ² was just GTA:SA in fatasy setting. The strories of the universe always appealed to me. Other rpg stories appeal me much less (morowind oblivion are great games but the stories don't grip me). That plus the freedom gave you.

But one thing one thing I found lacking in the universe is the details of the world. If one looks like oblivion or GTA:SA one stands amazed on the detail of the words. I mean things like burger kings barbers, or in Oblivion, vineyards , guilds ...

I mean every character in Oblivion has almost a job. In those games you have the feeling that the world is bigger then you. If you werent playing the worlds would continue with people going to work and diong stuff. In and the world would stop if you stop playing. The games are hero centered.

Do I make any sence?

I want a world were the hero lives in not were the world lives of the hero. (like gta and Oblivion)

I agree with you, but I don't think you can say Divine Divinity lacked detail.

I agree but it's not on the same level as an Oblivion or GTA:SA. had it good (but could be better) on the other hand didn't have it because of the act system an the story.

Oblivion is indeed the new standard. I'm sure the Larians will take a very good look at it.

Depends. Being forced to "play" something spoils the fun a bit, I think, imho.

Come on, I'm sure they were as exited about Oblivion as we were. Add the fact that it might contain some good ideas as far as their own game is concerned only enhances that.

Morbo: Sorry i made a mistake.

Ive mentioned an idea where the hero does not get alot of money from dungeons and so has to look for a job.

E.g serving drinks/ploughing fields to make his way.

As his skills/stats increase...he gets to do more demanding jobs for better pay.

E.g be a temporary soldier/guard..a mages apprentice...etc

I' don't like the idea that a job diverts you from the main quest. It should be a free choise to take a job or guild spot. Not forced out of gold shortage. A job can have rewards like gold or special armor and other benfits. But I don't like the idea of beeinge forced to do a job.

In oblivion for instance when you finish the dark brotherhood you get some sweet light armor.

Oblivion only impressed me for 5 minutes, after that I only saw the flaws.

Oblivion might be a new graphical standard to some (though it's not that great on that level), it's certainly a step backwards as it comes to gameplay.
I stopped playing it a week ago because I was BBB by it (bored beyond belief ).

oh, I say this as my own opinion. I do not speak like this is the opinion of Larian.
I can say that the future will hold much brighter stars than Oblivion, though.

To me Oblivion is the new standard. In my opinion it certainly is a serious step forward as far as gameplay is concerned, definitely not backwards. But if you are really serious about this, then it must mean Larian's next game will be even better. Here's hoping for just that.
