Bethsoft vs. community sites - a very heated discussion

From a quick skim, I think Bethesda have the right on that one. There's just no excuse for the kind of abuse that fan site was heaping on them. Attacking their games is one thing; attacking their people is something else.

LOL I agree, Hee hee I DM'd a bit in PnP and nwn and to really combine the 2 is near to impossible, I mean what he is saying is that every conversation should be DM controlled, so per example I (as DM) would say to the PC "you come to a T crossing, do you wish to go right or left, by foot or an horseback?", oh and btw what have you got in your back pack? since you have been travelling for 3 days without any food or water and you only sleep when you fall of your feet .....

I mean really !!! in maybe 10 years when we have "virtual" RPG's, where the PC is the player and the surroundings are computer generated, a little like Paintball but set in a Virtual world, then maybe yes

He's got one good point: most supposed RPGs contain little to no actual role playing. Beyond that, I can't see most of his ideas being implementable.
