This weekend I got to playing Magic: The Gathering again. It's been almost two years since I've played. I'm getting out decks so old I have to dust them off to play. Thankfully the best ones are in sleeves. The new format really favors Black and I play Blue and White mostly. My Angel deck is a lot of fun though. As soon as I get five lands out I'm casting a big flyer every turn. I'm going to have to rework some of my decks to make one or two of them standard legal.

So anyone else play? DQueen I know you do. What colors? Got any good stories?

Waaaay back when we first started playing Magic my Brother-In-Law tapped himself out to play a giant fireball on me and I cast a Reverse Damage which added to my life total rather than taking away. I almost fell out of my chair watching him stomp around the room in angst mock cussing. It was the funniest thing.

We use to play with friends and half the fun was making these decks (not regulation) they'ed be 2 or 3 inches deep. We'd play with this one deck & one game for hours. Usually ending up with my girlfriend and I being the last ones still playing. It was usually a toss up, whether she won or I did. She's bring out thes really huge green guys, while I played black & white. Shadows are my friends!

i have about 5000 cards, but haven't followed the newlys annymore. but i played it only 3 times
i was always afraid i didn't know the rules or to recogniced all the cards..
but sill waiting..for the perfect moment to strike back

I have a Collection of "Dark Force" cards. This was once a trading card game located within the universe of the german RPG System "Das Schwarze Auge" (DSA) (Realms of Arcania / The Dark Eye).

At the time when the publisher, Schmidt Spiele, went bancrupt, Fantasy Productions (FanPro) bought all of the existing DSA portfolio and decided not to continue this game anymore. Therefore it is a rarity nowadays.

I have never found people who would want to play it with me, since I discovered this game long after its "fall".

I haven't played it ever, but went on collecting these cards, just because they look good and represent images of the DSA world.

I plan to create once a website with a small archive of it, someday in the future.

By the way, with the decline of Fasa, FanPro bought almost everything (as far as I know) of the Battletech RPG System. They are now the maintainers (right word ?) of it.

I bought 4 Invasion Pre-Built decks when I was in Italy last fall and haven't even opened them (again no one to play them with) <grumble, grumble>

Man, I'm trying to make this bird solider deck and I keep getting spanked by this scion of darkness/grinning demon deck. Black is way over powered in this new environment. The only thing I can think of is more counter spells.

Why don't you just try "playing by Forum" ?
