Amazing, but one stats point is missing here, what about quest New Order or Champion Chaos?

Received From: Richard
Requirement: Refuse to accept the 'Feast or Famine' quest
1: Seek out the New Order guards at Jackson's farm

Solution 1
2: Side with Richard and help him defeat the guards

Solution 2
2: Side with the guards and help them kill Richard
Bonus: You can get a stat point by mindreading Lomax after killing Richard.

If you don't edit a post for more than 2 days then you can't change it. Maybe everyday you could just change something, like put the date in the post and then change it everyday so the post doesn't 'set'.

Did you use the Lovis Scrying Stone?
When you get the chains to drop with the 4 items, weapons/shield.....dont take one of those! Go back to the room where you first dropped in and behind that structure hanging on a chain in the corner, is a skillbook. rpg007

o Great.

I'm far passed that part lol. I'm about to kill Laiken, but I quickly checked this to see if I forgot something.
But that's the Citadel Chamber, not Citadel Dungeon. I was looking around in the friggin' citadel Dungeon, which is the part with the skeleton trader and the 4 buttons...

Probably a stupid question, but... are these confirmed as being ALL of the skill and stat points in the game? That's including the Lomax stat point in New Order or Champion Chaos.

Using a skill or stat book will remove it from your inventory. If you have books in your miscellaneous inventory section associated with quests, etc, for the most part they can be sold (for 3 gold), as can any randomly generated books (that can show up in different locations or as loot).

Raze, I was wondering if maybe this topic should be remade using the lists I compiled in my guide. This topic is a decent starter for the topic of bonus points, but it has some missing information (such as the skill point in New Order or Champion Chaos), and some incorrect info (like listing an incorrect amount of dragon points, and listing one book twice).

Just thought that if we're gonna have a topic like this, it should be ass accurate as possible, which this one isn't, and the time and ability to edit it are long past.

I'm gonna make the topic, but I'm going to keep it as brief as this topic is. More of a guide than a detailed list. People who want to actually "find" it themselves still can, and those who want the exact location can check my guide or ask (which they would do as it is, since this list isn't more descriptive).

Do you think I should keep it brief, or give a couple of sentences to most entries for the sake of being complete? And should I wrap anything post-battle tower in spoilers?

A short description wouldn't hurt for the sake of completeness, but it is up to you how brief or verbose you wish to be.

The way this list is set up, you can avoid reading ahead when you get to an area you have not been to yet, either with the different sections, or for each description, giving the region and general area first, then the specific location.
If you design your guide in a similar manner, you wouldn't necessarily need to use spoiler tags, though that would certainly be one way to provide an general info for those who just want to check that they have completed an area before continuing, as well as detailed directions for those who are trying to find a specific book or don't mind getting spoilers.
If you are going to use spoiler tags, though, I'm not sure why the post battle tower stuff would be more important to hide than earlier skill and stat points.

Well, as you'll see in a few minutes, I went with spoilers only for endgame stuff (as un-spoilery as they are, all things considered). I used the lists at the end of each section in my guide (the quick lists), but expanded on them a bit where necessary. The general format is the same as this guide, though.

Orobas Fjords, Red Hammer Tribe's Cave, Book on the bench behind the only door.

Where? I can only find that dragon skill book near Groth.

As you enter heading towards Groth, there is an outcrop of rock on the right (visible from the door), with a bench in front of it (and a chest and venom stone vein on the right, as well), just before the path opens up to the main part of the room. Just after the rock outcrop there is another venom stone vein on the left. The bench there is where you will find the book.

3. Broken Valley, Citadel Dungeon, read Toshan's mind for 1 extra stat point.

I think, this Dungeon is that on the top of the Tower, with this skeleton? Where is this ghost then?

The Citadel Dungeon is the one at the base of the tower, near the Lake Shrine. You need to go into the top room (with the Skeleton) and get the Scrying Stone, then use it from your inventory. This will give you the chance to get the Toshan mindread.

Giving the stone to Romon without using it yourself will make Toshan's mindread unobtainable.

Yes, I think it is worth it, and I certainly wouldn't have made it another level higher by the end of the game had I avoided 10 mindreads (giving 12 stat points). While not as nice a reward as a skill point, you are still getting a quarter of the stat point level bonus for much less experience than it would take to reach the next level.

Good to know. Maybe someone should edit the first post with that, cuz you can use this stone only in this room and not everybody use it.

I believe you can use the scrying stone wherever you wish, as long as you do so before turning it over to the priest.

Ok

But i think, two mind reading ppl are missing.

Orobas Fjord

a) Laura (one of the grave robbers)
b) Sepp (next to the airship)

Both of those give straight experience points, not stat or skill points. Mindreading Laura, without investing additional levels of that skill, costs 2400 experience and gives you 3200. Mindreading Sepp also costs 2400, but only gives you 1500 experience (need at least level 7 of Mindread to come out ahead).

Assuming the chains are still lowered (so you triggered the platforms in front of the hallway to the exit, jumped up and hit the button to lower the chains, but did not pick anything from the 4 nearby chains), head back to other end (where you started, if you used the scrying stone yourself). The skill book is on a chain in a corner, IIRC on the left behind a pillar/wall from where you lowered the chains, and out of a direct line of sight. You can see the skill book on the chain from that part of the room if you look up before it is lowered, but from the platforms there is little or no indication there is a fifth chain (don't recall if you can see a bit of chain, or not).

What about the book in your quest item list "The Demon Wars?" I'm sure it's a quest item or something, as I haven't replayed the game, but it gave me 5 skill points. I got it when I beat Kali, Hermosa's sister.

That is a quest item, if you choose Kenneth as your trainer (one of the reasons he is the poorer choice). Since you apparently picked Hermosa (or let them fight and went with the winner), you don't have to decide between completing the quest and reading the book yourself.

Cool. I threatened to turn him in to get the gauntlets (that I never used) because that seemed like the best result for the quest. I guess it pays to be nice after all.

Mephasm, where exactly is David located? Give some landmarks or something else near where he is, so I can add it to my guide. I need a precise location. Also, is this before or after getting the Battle Tower? Is it in Broken Valley, or Orobas Fjords?

He is on the mountain road to just before entering Orobas Fjords...before battle tower or it will be under poison clouds...

I also did mindread Laura the one looking for that treasure in Orobas Fjords with 3 other persons...Said I gained "new insight" I belive it was stat related aswell not sure though, needs confirmation..

BTW I am playing the DKS version of the game, some changes might not be same

Didn't get Dragon skill book from Librarians "The Two Volumes" quest, might just be bug though.

Thanks.

Laura gives EXP as a mindread (3200, according to seorin's guide). New insight is the stock phrase for gaining stat, skill, or experience points.

Btw, what choice did you choose with Champion David? Did you agree to keep his secret? Did you threaten to turn him in?

Checked into it. Richard is waiting on the mountain pass like Mephasm said. To get him there, you have to continue to threaten to turn him in to Richard so that he runs away. Agreeing to keep the secret doesn't get you the stat point OR gauntlets, and extorting him only gets the gauntlets.

Anyone into checking all subquest rewards for stat points? seems we missed a few...David being one of them, would be nice with a complete guide. I have started now...if somethings is missing please post here so me and Lancet can check and change it.

I did not get a dragon skill book from Keara, though that might have been because I failed her statue name puzzle too many times?

Failing the statue puzzle shouldn't make a difference to Keara's loot, AFAIK. That has not been reported before, anyway, and lots of people have used that spawn trigger (trying to open the door without correctly solving the puzzle) to level.

There were changes to DKS with dragon skill books compared to D2:ED. At least the librarian in Maxos temple stopped giving one when you returned the book he was looking for.

oh great looks like I missed for this one, my question is the book skill inside Lovis basement chamber (near lake shrine) or in Carlin / Lovis blacksmith room?

I didn't see skill book hanging on chain and if I give the stone to Romon and I go with the quest into the thin air, can I still get
the skill book?

As long as you didn't take one of the pieces of equipment on the 4 nearby chains (near to where you lower them) you can still get the skillbook. If you still have the scrying stone, though, it would be better to use it yourself; if you already gave it to the priest, the door at the base of Lovis' tower will be open.

Playing a much later version I am guessing, but there are (I think it is stat points, but it may be skill as I got them a bit ago and haven't re-played to see exactly what they were) 3 or 4 points from the Simeon quest in the Fjords after the tower. He sits at Camp Tiberius, but I found him by flying as a dragon directly east of the Grand Knight Shrine, across the water to land, than directly south to the first tan opening on the side of the mountain on the fully zoomed in map. He sits atop a small pillar. When talked to, he is blind and contemplating the meaning of life for hundreds of years. His quest is to restore his eyesight (Takes 2 malachite gems). Afterwards he talks to you for a day or days (don't remember which in the storyline), and you are bestowed with his abundant knowledge (which is 3 or 4 stat points or a couple skill points...I will play through again to find the exact number and type).

It is 2 skill points you get for completing Simeon's Sight for Sore Eyes quest.
