I have read the older posts about FOV vs DKS. I read that there maybe a patch to update D2+FOV to make it identical to DKS at the cost of saved games too.

Im going to be buying the game tomorrow from the online store( Im in the US) and wanted some clarification.

Is the patch happening that will update the content of D2 so that it, along with FOV will be identical to DKS?

I plan on re-rolling multiple toons so the balance corrections in the original game is an issue for me.
Starting over isnt. I have 7 lvl 80s in WoW. Im an altoholic :P

Im not a fan of throwing money away. If I can avoid rebuying D2(DKS) and just get the expansion, that would be awsome.

We will be creating a patch which brings ED+FOV to DKS. The only caveat will be that if you apply it, you won't be able to load existing ED savegames (which you can if just install FOV). I hope that clears things up.

OK, So I took a look at the Larian shop.

19.95 Eur = 28.42 USD
Steam has DKS for 39.95 USD with bonus items.

I would love to buy just the x-pack and wait for the patch but I think it makes more sence to just get DKS on steam if your in the US.

The price for DKS just disappeared on steam.

Was it labeled wrong? not 39.95 USD? Would make sense with the exchange rate...
