Where can I find the save files for Divinity 2 Ego Draconis. Had to reinstall my operating system and lost my progress. I'd like to copy the save files to an external hard disc but don't know where on my computer they're located or their file names. Any help would be most appreciated.

In XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames


or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames


You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).

I was able to show hidden files and copy my game saves but now the game shows "save failes" when I try to save my game. Again, any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have 99 savegames (100 files total) you cannot save anymore
That's the only reason i know of why you cannot save anymore

Unless your files are read-only. Did you copy them to a DVD and then back to a hard drive ?
If so, make sure your savegames are not read-only, so you can overwrite them.
