You need to leave Aleroth, head south and encounter Zandalor before you get the option to ask Goemoe about the teleporter scroll. You need to be close to an object to pick it up. If you are too far away your character will move to the object, or if it is not recognized as an attempted drag and drop, do the standard move in the direction of the mouse cursor when the left mouse button is held down. You can drag and drop an item to the menu bar on the bottom of the screen to place it in your inventory (though opening the inventory window does let you control exactly where it is placed). Welcome to the forum.

1. Sometimes Otho, Goemoe and other NPC's walking out or in their houses. Otho go looking at his 2 pigs (for example). Secondly : The Teleporter at the Cursed Abbey is at the courtyard of the Abbey, so go through the first gate (at the southern side) ... and a little bit further you will find the Teleporter But beware of angry 'Steel Warriors & Rangers' !

The healers move to the Blue Boar inn after the escort quest is done, with just Mardaneus remaining in Aleroth. Lanilor is in the north west room behind the bar and kitchen area, Joram is by the bar and Otho/Goemoe in a couple of the inn rooms. If you progress far enough in the main plot quest, Geomoe will eventually leave the inn, and you will need to talk to the healers and do something else to find where he went.
If you stand, or teleport, next to a teleporter stone, you should easily be able to pick it up. It sounds like you have trouble picking up other items like this (letters, chests, etc). Do you have any problems drag and dropping in Windows? I once had a left mouse button start to go flaky, where left button presses would occasionally not be recognized, or would register as double clicks (very annoying when you are trying to move 50 files and Windows decides to open them all). It started getting worse, so I took the mouse apart and noticed a notch worn in the plastic tab on the button over the sensor; I filled the notch with epoxy, let it dry, put the mouse back together, and haven't had a problem since.
The arrows are just for atmosphere.

The archer's guild teleporter is near the archer's guild, in the south west of Rivertown, near the entrance to the Dark Forest. The council hall and the teleporter there can be reached after you have been to the castle, get out and do another couple main plot quests. The rest of the teleporters you listed are in the Dark Forest.
Hearing enemies from a little further away can give you an idea of what is ahead sooner. It certainly wasn't my most sought after bonus, but it can be occasionally helpful.
If you have equipment that is good enough you think you will be using it for awhile (dragon armour, etc), I would only use silver or gold charms. I saved most charms until I had better equipment, but by the time that happened I didn't really need the extra bonus. I used 1 gold strength charm (a lucky drop by the dragon rider that Zandalor kills south of Aleroth) in my Amulet of Glory (from the catacombs) when I explored past the castle and fought the knight that drops a two handed bastard sword (I needed to go up a level and use the charm to meet the requirements). At the end of the game I had 66 gold / very large charms (6 from before entering the final area; the rest were about half loot and half purchased), 59 silver / large charms, 24 red / medium charms, 19 blue / minor charms and 1 green / weak charm.
