Playing a warrior in D2:ED and ranger in DKS, I relied on equipment bonuses, enchantments and Mana Efficiency for mana, rather than boost spirit or intelligence (using regular weapons, not balanced or magical). In DKS I stopped distributing stat points after level 15, though, so it's not like you need to max your stats (a low Indomitable Will was an issue in a couple places with opponents that used Stun Arrows, but nothing that a potion or adjustment in tactics couldn't compensate for). A very fast, overpowered attack may be due to a bug. Lowering the difficulty level may help, if you are not already playing on casual (it will reduce the damage done, hopefully enough it is no longer a one hit kill). If you leave this until later (reload a save before entering the arena, or before Stone's headquarters), a higher level and better equipment may help you survive. Do you have your creature active? If it (or a summon, if you know or have any jewellery with such spells) is between you and the second group of bosses, whoever is using the overpowered attack may target your creature/summon, giving you time to attack. It might help to drink an armour and/or healing potion, etc, just before finishing off the second boss monster. One person who ran into this problem used CheatEngine to fix their health until they got past Ba'al (though someone mentioned that Steam may have a problem with the use of CheatEngine, even with a single player game). Where's the trick to Ba'al?[Not Sure if Bug][Spoilers]Killed InstantlyIf you email your save to support@larian.com, with a description of the problem, they can fix it for you. With the PC version, in XP the saves are in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames or in Vista / Win 7 C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders ( XP, Vista, Win 7). Welcome to the forum.

I never have had experienced a instant kill BECAUSE of a BUG ... and I've already played Divnity II (on Xbox) many times again ... An almost instant kill (indeed) by different bosses (like with Amdusisas, Zagan, the End Battle of Ego Draconis part) ... but with some tactical changes and the use of different skill in a specific order ... all goes very well, even on the hardest difficulty. For a warrior I love to use Wirlwind, Thousand Strikes, Rush Attack, Fatality ... but to be honest, I can't resist the Priest Skills !! They're my ALL favorite skills ! Charm, Blind, Fear, Hide in Shadows, Summon Mastery, Summon Undead & Ghost not to forget, a wonderful help in battles !!!! My Creature ? Most of the time I prefer a Ghoulish Head (Rush Attack & Fatality, good kitty !) or a Dragon Elf head is also nice . Sometimes I've a little "group" fighting on my side thanks to Creature, a summon & Charm (on higher level you can charm more than 1 enemy ... ) In Stone's Arena I charm as much as I can the little Goblins ... and Blind the Troll ...

Your character is level 30. You get 4 attribute points per level, plus the occasional extra from mind-reads. You have accumulated at least 116 attribute points, and at that point, your character's primary attribute, Strength, is 34.
Take a moment to think about that.
One problem you're having is that you have built your character pretty poorly. All those points into Dexterity aren't going to do much good if you use melee weapons, and those points in Strength won't do much good if you use bows.
My recent warrior character was min/maxed, so don't take this as necessary, but her stats were: 60 Vitality, 43 Spirit, 76 Strength, 2 Dexterity, 2 Intelligence. You don't need to go nearly that far, and a lot of that was from equipment bonuses, but that 34 strength at level 30 is a big warning flag you should have picked up on earlier.

O yes, listen to what Stabbey explain . Strength IS important for a warrior, a melee fighter of all times ... Right on this moment my current Priest is level 30 too and his stats are vitality 44, spirit 5, dexterity 22, strength 22 and intelligence 48 without any boosts ! But with equipment ? Woow ... intelligence around 70, spirit around 50, vitality around 55, strength around 30 and only used a bonus of dex on my bow (use the bow not so often, it's more a tactical step shooting arrows than dealing damage). Must I go for a more pure warrior I go for vitality, strength & intelligence (with 'balanced' weapons). The combination of my favorite warrior skills do the rest. But honestly, this is only a plan of me for a next hero. Loving this game ! So many possibilities for eternal r .... euhmm ... game fun !

Below I quoted from another topic ( Finished Divinity II ? Tell us with which stats.) what I did with my warrior in the original release of D2:ED. There were some changes made in DKS that would effect skill choices, though (Bleed is not as effective in DKS, for example), as well as changes to combat. Skills
I unlearned my skills after getting the battle tower, and again before heading to the hall of echoes (the re-skill at level 36 gave me 76 free skill points). In the Aleroth Ministry (level 35) I had 13 unused skill points; at the end of the game I had 34.
Mana Efficiency - 5 (maxed after getting battle tower) Mana Leech - 1 Healing - 1 Regenerate - 0 (2 before hall of echoes) Life Leech - 1 (2 before hall of echoes) Bleed - 10 Potion Efficiency - 0 (1 before battle tower, 5 after) Evade - 1 Wisdom - 13 (before the hall of echoes it was 9 or 10, with 4 or 5 of that from equipment bonuses. since I was 3/4 of the way to level 37, the highest I had seen mentioned (without using respawns excessively), I maxed Wisdom to see if I could get to level 38 in the sure to be flying fortress sized area of the hall of echoes)
Dual Wielding - 13 Battle Rage - 0 (1 before getting the battle tower, but I only used it a few times) Lockpick - 0 (5 before the hall of echoes; I maxed this as soon as possible) Whirlwind - 1 (2 before battle tower) Rush Attack - 1 (4 before battle tower)
Life Tap - 0 (1 before the hall of echoes; immediately before getting the battle tower I tried this, and thought it would come in handy, but after the battle tower and learning Mana Efficiency, I never used it)
