I have the gamersgate version of DD:ED and FoV, I had completed ED without any problems and all was fine, i have installed FoV and playing from FoV onwards i have started to get crashes to desktop with Divine Divinity Flames of vengence has stopped working box whenever i leave or enter an area sometimes when entering from aleroth into an area, most times after i leave the area to go back to alaroth. I have the latest drivers for my card (gtx460) I have used your support tool and i can e-mail it if you wish as i see no way to attach to the post

One person in the original release of D2:ED had a problem going indoors (Can't get into any door, game exits to windows), but other than that I don't know if anyone has reported frequent crashes changing regions before...

There are no suggestions specifically for this, but did you look at the [PC] Support FAQ - The Dragon Knight Saga topic?

Did you try lowering the game resolution, etc, to see if that would make a difference?


You could try doing a clean install of the game and expansion, and see if that helps (though the support tool may report any corrupt or missing files, etc; don't know, I played the Xbox version).

It sounds like you have the original release of D2:ED and the separate FoV add-on. If so, there is a (large) conversion patch to change D2:ED+FoV into DKS (after which you can get the DKS DRM free patch). This wouldn't necessarily help with the crash problem in Aleroth, though.
Also, you would not be able to continue with your current character in DKS, but need to start a new level 35 FoV character.
