I don't know, what the progammes think if they say "easy mode".

The start of the game is very funny. But I dont know how to protect the zeppelin. It's impossible!

You get so many points for the human form, but no chance to power up the dragon.

I'll try it about 3 hours! No chance. The zeppelin is so fast!

Why can't I make the zeppelin slower, to have the time to kill these towers?

The dragon is so weak! I use about 30 potions...

The zeppelin lost about 40% live after the first block, again 40% an the way to second autosave.

Ah. I think I can help. I made a video:

Zeppelin Escort mission on Nightmare

Basically, my tips are to focus only on the towers, basically ignore all the flying units. The zeppelin can easily handle all the flying units. You should be flying ahead of the zeppelin, killing every tower. Save your nuke skill for the center of tower clusters. Use the Zeppelin barrage on nest towers or other lone towers. It will kill a tower faster than you can, so it saves you a bit of time.

Make sure to equip your +HP armor. The parts which give bonus skill points don't matter much. It's good that you know to use potions. I assume that you've made a pile of the most powerful potions.

Your Dragon form for that battle already has maximum points in every Dragon skill except Polymorph - which isn't useful in that mission anyway.

Nice video!
You did a great figth! claphands
Are you sure you have only 10 fingers? Or did you use pedals for move the dragen?

I now finish the game within the "developer cut" game. I am very glad that I can load the savegame in this game.

I now use the good mode and the endless magical power.
But it seems that my Powerdragon in easy mode make more damange on the zeppelin then your real figth.
But I am very glad the zeppelin makes it to the endgame!

The last fight in human form is easy. I have very good human weapons, make over 1200 damange per strike. (In the human form the game is ok and very good --- in easy mode ---.
Never need a cheat, sometimes a reload of corse.

But I have not enought fingers for the dragen!
Or maybe I am to old for the air force!

Thanks for the video. It's nice to see what the dragon can do, if you manage the use of 10 key's with 5 Fingers.

Ah. Right. I wasn't using the default control scheme, I was using the arrow keys for movement and the numpad for the quickbar commands.

I played the Xbox version of DKS, but even on the PC a gamepad may be easier than a keyboard and mouse (I'm not a big fan of either WASD or the arrow keys for movement). I have D2:DC also, but my below specification computer has a little lag with the mouse cursor and sometimes the camera, so there isn't much point playing it until I get a new computer.

For the escort (even though god mode took care of the problem), it helps to use the new spell whenever the cooldown allows (or constantly, with the Developer Mode cheat to eliminate the cooldown time), against the closest and densest group of towers or nests.

After each section of opponents there is a break before the next, where you can check the zeppelin's health. If it is low and you are not close to the end point, you may want to reload, otherwise save and continue.

I completely forgot about using Dragon Dash during the escort (Stabbey's video reminded me afterwards), and assumed the zeppelin bombardment was automatic, rather than something you could direct (usually I stayed far enough ahead of the zeppelin that leaving that spell on automatic was better anyway).

From Who's playing DKS on nightmare difficulty ?

Anyway, the zeppelin made it to the point the captain decided to change the plan
and kamikaze, but Zandalor barely finished saying there must be another way when it was destroyed.

I reloaded my save at the start of the escort, and attempted to be more systematic clearing the nests and towers. When available I tried to use the Wrath of the Patriarch on the densest cluster that was relatively close, and then flew around taking out individual structures and smaller groups, and also summoned a wyvern whenever I had a moment and thought of it (which wasn't often), figuring an extra target might help the zeppelin. I started off doing much better, but when Zandalor told me to redouble my efforts I noticed the zeppelin's health had dropped a fair bit. Looking back, I discovered it was mostly passed a platform that I had missed clearing 4 or 5 ballistas from. Rather than try getting to the end I reloaded a save from a few minutes previous, and made sure I didn't miss anything the next time. Somewhere after the mid point but before the final section I went up to level 47. The zeppelin's health started getting a little low towards the end, but they made it
to the fiery death they were destined for.
