So I have a 8800m gts @1680 x 1050 and a 2.5ghz Intel Core 2 duo, 4 gigs ram....game runs decent on detected setting, with a little chopping when scrolling around the screen and hangs at times when running around in open environment. Have just got to first (only?) town so far after about 15 minutes. Seems slow overall but expected it to on this rig. Waiting to get home from this extended business trip to put it on stronger desktop. Are there suggested minimum system specs for this game during alpha?

I tested D:OS on a GTX590 which produced 40fps and a smooth paying experience. So the bottleneck seems to be the video card.

The strange thing is the low 20pfs performance on a GT630 on very low which probably means that the video engine is not optimized. You have to try the very low setting to see that there should be no high demand even for a modest video card. Very low should run on a laptop with integrated video, it looks that bad.

Currently, before the last update (with the music) my system would completely die when you activated a skill.

Specs of my system are:
MSI Radeon 7990
Intel Core i7 3960X
GSKILL 64GB 2400Mhz Ram
256GB SATA-3 Corsair SSD
2x3TB Raid 0 SATA-3 7200rpm
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Luckily after the last update, the lag when using skills stopped (had a lot of frustration dealing with ranger skills beforehand), and the game is playable, with some minor bugs (walking through walls, etc.). I don't think I've run into any performance issues yet so far in the new update, aside from the weird bugs.

it just me or alt+tab performance issues fixed? In earlier version, once you alt+tab from the game, it started to eat CPU like a hungry troll. Now it does not?

The win32 issue has not been resolved yet I'm afraid. It's very high priority obviously and we'll be updating the alpha more frequently, so it should not take that much longer.

When you create 2 items of the same type, yep smile Also a high priority bug.

Just bought the Steam version and every time I try to start a new game from the starting splash screen, it says loading and then just returns back to start screen, endless loop never starts.

Can you try to lower the performance settings?

Just bought the game and when i get into combat, i can't get the characters to move or attack. The game tells me the path and distance, but when i click on the path, it should move or if a creature that i am fighting is highlighted with the sword icon over it, it should attack it i press one of the mouse buttons, right? If i select a skill first they will use it to attack, but that seems to be the only way and they won't move at all in combat.

This fixed my issue for crashing on startup...looks like a NIC application issue...

I was experiencing a problem where I would attempt to load a game and would immediately be kicked back to the main menu. I believed this to be caused by the game attempting to connect to a server or localhost and being denied, and was right.

I use a Killer NIC Bigfoot, and its caused problems with things like Skype and a few indie games for me. If you use a Killer NIC and can't get the game to load, try this. I'm not responsible for any issues you encounter for altering other files but the Killer NIC Manager will ask you after you restart if you want to revert this change.

If you go to \Program Files\Bigfoot Networks\Killer Network Manager\ with a cmd prompt, then run "killertool -lsp-unmap", it resolves a lot of the problems that this networking card has.

There is no confirmation for the change, so if you don't get an error, it likely worked. You do not need to restart for this change to occur.

Here is a skype thread with the same fix to show I mean no harm and its a known fix for issues: http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-de...ght/true#M87387

We've found a gamebreaker here! smile There's no way to play Co-op!
When I get invited by my friend and I accept it sends me to loading just to make me end up back at the main menu again. Does the same thing if I press participate when he's playing.

Thanks!
