i think in dungeon siege, every packmule/donkey is named & it can level up as your character(s) level up as well. so this is not a new idea. bean could've been sued for being a donkey he is not. he should be his own donkey: Osama bean Donkey.

it was his behind that was smeared with johnson's chocolate & jurak sat on him while being pricked by the many toothpicks johnson made. when that donkey broke wind, it sent the melted choc flying. most terrifying bioweapon in any game.
