yes i must say the hero does look to have a bit of a sore back could it
be from that rather large axe, that he must offset his stance to counterbalance
the weight?

Yes, THIS one.

I had the same thought concerning the heavy axe, but man, the Rickets are showing and I can count his knees as he sneeze.

vitamin deficiency....will there be drug stores,
although it is too late now
maybe Dr. Elrath's associates can operate!
but that would mean the knight would be too busy
pushing our hero around in a wheelchair,
and they both would come to a swift death!:D

so now the dumb question, what again about the ava, are you meaning?

I am sure that the hero doesn't walk always like that, i think it is more a coincidence that on the most pictures is hanging to the back.

Well then let us hope that customising the character include vitamin shots.
Oh, and a neck-collar.

Ah, and a back-support, and maybe a wheelchair … in case.

I also hope that the summoning dolls include a Nurse. Har-har-har.

indeed DAD, the hero is leaning a bit to far backwards or could it be that this is due to the fact that imho he is just being hit..??

and forget the "o-legs" thing, it was a way of standing just before striking an enemy I think

You are perfectly right in both points. The first is the usual HIT-Animation. The second one mentioned is a shot "in motion", the body is captured in a swinging rotation towards the enemy, but i agree it looks kinda silly and o-leggish this way. Its very hard to judge motion in a screenshot indeed.

Anyway, to relax you, we weren't fully satisfied about the hero's look in the engine and so it is still work in progress. We will give you "improved characters" very soon.

I am complaining from this.

This hero has Rickets, Anaemia and needs to learn how to walk forward because he surly walks backwards.

I agree they look similar awkward. By coindidence actually. While the first one is a hitanimation, the second shot seems to be the "getting-swing-part" of the magic animation (like leaning backward to raise all your power and and then throwing it forward at the enemy like the deathknight is doing to the spider).
And as i mentioned before the hero's look is not final yet.

Good to hear. What is even better to hear is that the team checks it's forums. Well, I had no doubt really but so many teams don't care about their fans!

Thank you Marian for your brave reply; you are under very heavy fire from competition.
If you want an example, check out Sphinx and the cursed mummy animation trailers.
I do not like skinny heroes but their animations are fabulous and body postures are perfectly balanced.
Naturally, a trailer could be worked out precisely for advertisement, which is far better in quality than the game.
In your case, it is a screen-shot, which means that we have to consider the fact that what we see on Larian screens is what we shall get IN the game. I wish you all the best young man.
Aaaaaaaaaaand
Gimmmi moooor.

If I may ask Marian, what ever happened to the beautiful characters of ; they are fabulous man!
I recommend the warrior or the mage females of :div; is your benchmark.
So give us the same quality or better please.
But if you could give us the quality of the Succubus we shall make a statue for you and erect it in the Larian Square downtown your city in Belgium.

Did you catch cold DATD?
Is your donkey’s name nocando?

You are too young to understand the rules of the market.
PS2 costs less than 200$ in Japan now.
Therefore, competition threatens potential markets rather than the existing fan base market.
On the other hand, in 1986 when Commodore acquired Amiga, the sales pulled the quality of Apple right behind and they both affected the market of MS-Intel coalition. Without the fast response of MS and Apple they were going to be DOS obsolete systems.
Finally, I was not really concerned about sales competition but rather technical animation competition between Marian and his equals in the market.
The PC uses a CPU to process data, what does PS2 use; a CBooBoo?
RPG games on PC display on a flat 2D screen, does PS2 create holographic images?
No.
Therefore donkey my donkey.

I have to agree with dad here...
The Succubus was beautiful. I only wuished i could have looked at her longer before she ran away, and i had to kill her! It was too bad, she really was too beautiful for an enemy, and i didn't want to!

The problem is here to have 3D Characters in a 2D environment without losing too much details. We might show some of the 3D Characters probably on the -Page and then you would see that the quality is in fact very high. But i'll leave that to Lar.

Unfortunately this is not so easy to see in the isometric perspective (unless you zoom in of course). But again, we're working on it.

I cannot ask for more Marian, Good Luck.
Remember; your benchmark is the characters’ quality because your FANS would be disappointed if quality deteriorated for any reasons.
No excuses.
