It only lists "offense +2" as the buff, but it obviously does something more than that as it sells for almost 40k. Problem is that i don't have the agility (nor am i close) to use it.

What the hey does this do? Does it do what it sounds like? (skill leeching)

If there is noting special listed in the stats and the description doesn't give a hint that there is something unique about a piece of equipment, then a high value doesn't necessarily mean anything. There are relatively rare random attributes for items (such as the suffix 'of angels') which increase their value to merchants, but do not give any other bonus. This works best when you find such items and sell them.


An interesting find in the wastelands, worth 50,000 gold (I assume the 'silver' part is what bumped the price up);

I also found this same bow, I think from the Vampire in the Dark Cave. I sold it for 37k as even though im a thief, it's basically useless in comparison to the dagger I found in the mage's shop.

O yes, that Dagger is wonderful ! In my last playthrough I use that Dagger often

Does the bow you found have the same offence bonus? If so, that suffix may be associated with the offence and value boost. It wouldn't be impossible to get the same random item, though, especially if adding the value limits the number and magnitude of other attributes that can get added.
