Tried and true
Kids Interactive Community (K.I.C.) is a brand new formula in cross-media that was introduced by VRT
(Belgium’s national broadcaster) in fall 2004. It's the world's first TV creative community and has enjoyed
a tremendous success in Belgium, winning the much-coveted Kids Award 2004 and again in 2005.
The cross-media format allows new forms of very targeted advertising, innovative programming and brand strengthening.
Interactive circle
In K.I.C. children get access to a full-featured 3D world where they can play games and make all kinds of
creations such as pictures, movies, music, cartoons and much more. They can send their creations to
the broadcaster who uses it throughout its entire kids programming and in a special dedicated show.
In turn, the broadcaster can modify the 3D world at will, putting in dedicated advertising and launching
new initiatives.
